Fanny Koutzarova, pianist and teacher

The public was invited to a curious trip back in time by Fanny Koutzarova and Rossen Balkanski with their plying in The Balabanov’s House in Plovdiv. The programme consisted of pieces by Vivaldi, Bocherini, Giordani and Seixas. A perfect pianist and a virtuous guitarist - this is the duo several years after their first concert. But this is awaited when two of the best Bulgarian musicians start to work together.

The compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, Luidji Bocherini, Mario Kastelnuovo – Tedesco and Johan Caspar Mertz sounded the previous evening in the National Gallery performed by the burning duo Fanny Koutzarova – Rossen Balkanski. The biggest surprise was the two compositions by Rossen Balkanski – Prelude and Scherzo for piano and guitar. The public was deeply impressed by the rise of the two musicians. They are living in the world of music……not just present it. The duo piano and guitar was one of the most popular formations in the XIXht century. This combination is unusual today and the good worldwide musicians are few. We are happy to have Bulgarian duo Fanny Koutzarova – Rosen Balkanski.

Daily “Standard”

The first and only Bulgarian unique duo Fanny Koutzarova – piano and Rossen Balkanski – guitar opens the new music season in Sofia’s Bulgaria Hall. Worldwide this combination is too rare. The concert season 2006/2007 opens with the concert “Pearls from Different Times”. The public had the great pleasure to enjoy the duo’s music before their Europe tour with the same programme. The two musicians started to play together in 2003 after successful solo career and participation in different chamber music formations.
